As in Medicine every Professional, whether they are Solicitors, Engineers, Architects, Accountants, Stockbrokers, Financial Advisers or others who have expertise in any field have a duty to use their particular professional qualification and expertise to serve their clients in the best possible manner. Thankfully, the vast majority of dealings people have with such Professional Advisers have a successful outcome and many people have lifelong relationships with their Professional Advisers. Unfortunately there are times when the advice or service given by Professionals is wrong, inadequate, incomplete, or inappropriate and results in financial or other loss or damage. This can amount to Professional Negligence and in such cases the victim can seek damages by way of compensation for the loss suffered as a result of the Professional Negligence.
